Now and Again – reveals galore!

Happy Monday, my friends!

I’ve been quiet on the blog– but I have a good excuse. I’ve been working my little butt off in order to get Now and Again ready for my readers by October and I’m pleased to say it’s nearly there! So, in this post, I’m not just revealing a release date. I’m also revealing the blurb. I’m revealing the trailer. And I’m revealing the cover!

Let’s get started.

First off, let’s have a blurb, shall we?

Unemployed. Broke. Maid of Honor.

All (unfortunately) words that describe Em Hayes.

Without any job leads in San Francisco, Em caves to her mother’s promise of free rent and returns home. Her best friend, Nikki, couldn’t be more thrilled. Em’s degree in Event Management is gathering dust, and what better way to put it to use than planning Nikki’s wedding?

There’s just one flaw in that plan: Cole Connors. The girls’ former roommate. And part of the reason Em hasn’t been back since college graduation.

Em’s never been able to forget Cole—or how close they were before she pushed him aside and ran for the hills. Cole’s never forgotten Em either— but in the past two years, she hasn’t given him much choice but to try.

And, according to Nikki, there’s no better pair to plan the wedding of her dreams.

Em’s usually good at squashing messy feelings, but being around Cole again brings them all rushing to the surface.

And this time, she’s not sure she wants to run.

You’ll be able to add Now and Again to your e-reader of choice on October 26, 2015. And you can add it on Goodreads now.

Paperbacks will also be available, but possibly at a later date– I will obviously keep you all apprised through this blog, my newsletter, and social media (linked in the blog’s sidebar).

And now, for the pretties! The trailer and the cover!

A Summer Like No Other Cover Reveal

You guys, I am so excited to be taking part in my friend Elodie’s cover reveal. Many of you might know that Elodie and I began our self-publishing journeys around the same time. Elodie writes sweet and sexy young adult lit and her current releases center around dancers.

And I’m so proud to help her reveal the cover of her newest release: A Summer Like No Other, the companion novella to One, Two, Three, which she designed herself.

About A Summer Like No Other:

She’s his best friend’s little sister. He’s the biggest player of them all.

They shouldn’t be together. But this summer’s just too tempting.

Sixteen-year-old Emilia Moretti’s goal for the summer is simple: forget her brother’s best friend—Nick Grawsky—ever existed. It should be easy: He’s spending his summer in the Hamptons, adding girls in tiny bikinis to his list of broken hearts. Guarantee he won’t be telling them they’re like his little sisters. This summer, Emilia won’t stay awake at night thinking about him. She’ll need flawless ballet movements to have a shot at next year’s showcase, and she’s finally ready to search for her birth parents. But when Nick decides to stay in the city, Emilia’s resolve disappears in a pirouette. Maybe it’s the spin they needed to be together. As long as she doesn’t get stuck believing in happily ever after…

Nick is tired of pretending to be the happy, let’s-have-fun guy. His father wants him to change his career from professional dancer to…lawyer. He needs to put all of his focus on dancing to prove to Daddy Dearest he’s good enough to make it big. And he may have a case of the bluest balls in history courtesy of Emilia. She’s off-limits: The bro code with Roberto even forbids the dirty thoughts he has about her. Besides, he’s not boyfriend material. He only has time for flings, for girls who don’t expect much, for girls he doesn’t want to kiss goodnight. He knows he should resist her, but he’s not sure he wants to…

At least for this summer.

It’s going to be a summer like no other.

I mean, of course, you could probably guess that I’ve wanted to show it to you since I got it. You probably surmised that I’ve been eager before I even had a cover in hand. After all, my cover artist, Nathalia Suellen, is one brilliant lady. I knew she’d rock this cover just as much as she rocked the Threats of Sky and Sea cover.

But guys. My face has been rocked off. I am faceless from Nathalia’s rocking of this cover.

And I’ve been waiting to show you since September.

Cover reveal sign-ups and official release date for RIOT OF STORM AND SMOKE

GUYS. I am so very, very, very excited. Because finally, at long last, I’m at a point with Riot of Storm and Smoke that I feel comfortable setting a publication date. It has been far too long since I published Threats of Sky and Sea, and I’m sure you’re all wondering what in the hell happened to Bree and her friends, right? ^_~

Well, the wait isn’t too much longer, because…

Riot of Storm and Smoke will be published August 18, 2015!

(But you can add it on Goodreads now)

Why did it take so long to announce an official release date? The truth is that I’m a slow writer… it takes me a loooong time to even find the story in all of my pantsing-style drafting. But we’re there now, and this is for real. I’ve reserved a slot with my editor (the amazing Rebecca Weston) and with a blog tour company.

itshappeningAnd now… I need your help! With a release announcement comes other exciting things, like COVER REVEALS.

Well, one cover reveal, anyway.

So, if you have the time to post the cover (which HOMG, is so gorgeous, thanks once again to Nathalia Suellen) please sign up on YA Reads! And know that I so, so, so appreciate all of your help.

I am so excited!

Now, if you’ll excuse me… I’m officially an author on deadline. *cartwheels away*

Defining Justice prequel short: announcement and cover reveal

Heyyyy youuuu guyssss!

You may remember that my Prince Caden short story, Defining Justicewas published about a year ago in Inaccurate Realities Issue #3: Magic. I’m so pleased to have been included in such a wonderful collection (seriously, the other stories are A+. I definitely recommend checking it out).

But I’m equally pleased to announce that Defining Justice will soon be available on its own! With the story expanded slightly, Defining Justice will be coming to you in e-book form on May 4, 2015, and you can find the short blurb right here!

One of Prince Caden’s earliest explanations of justice came from his father. But with an Earth Elemental’s life on the line, Caden learns to define it for himself.

You can add Defining Justice on Goodreads here.

And… check out the cover below!

DEFINING (1)This cover is special to me for a couple of reasons:

1) It’s the first cover that I created myself!

2) That stock photo is so, so perfect. I won’t reveal all of the reasons why, but a couple of things that strike me about it are the fact that the points on the sword’s hilt closely mirror traditional Egrian armor as I imagine it and then there’s the fact that the colors in this cover will look gorgeous alongside the Riot of Storm and Smoke cover.

…which you will get to see one of these days. I swear.

I’m so excited to be able to release this story for fans of the Threats of Sky and Sea universe and think this story will particularly please the Caden (and the Aleta) fans among you!

For now, I’m off to keep plugging away at Riot of Storm and Smoke! You’ll be hearing from me soon!

Stories in the Threats of Sky and Sea universe:
Threats of Sky and Sea (Book #1)
Sisters of Wind and Flame (prequel)
Defining Justice (prequel, coming May 4, 2015)
Riot of Storm and Smoke (Book 2, coming 2015)
